    I am the global leader of a community action group with a passion for the commercial airline industry with deep personal roots with the best airline that ever existed..Pan American World Airways. Pan Am's assets were acquired after its bankruptcy in December 1991 by Delta Airlines, a key asset being Pan Am's former hub terminal at John F Kennedy International Airport in New York. The original part of this terminal was built and opened in 1960 and features a unique shape..some call it a flying…

    I am the global leader of a community action group with a passion for the commercial airline industry with deep personal roots with the best airline that ever existed..Pan American World Airways. Pan Am's assets were acquired after its bankruptcy in December 1991 by Delta Airlines, a key asset being Pan Am's former hub terminal at John F Kennedy International Airport in New York. The original part of this terminal was built and opened in 1960 and features a unique shape..some call it a flying saucer, others an umbrella but these days it is mostly referred to as the 'Rotunda.' Back in August 2010, Delta and the Port Authority of NY/NJ (owners of the airport) announced that this terminal will be demolished beginning in May 2013 to make way for a concrete apron to park additional aircraft. My group has put togther a counterproposal to Delta and the PANYNJ to save and restore the original 'Rotunda' and make it a productive and valuable economic asset moving forward. The attached link to our Facebook page is our lobbying effort to get the powers that be to consider our counterproposal as outlined in the online petition (see next LinkedIn project weblink). Our team includes the daughter of the architect for this magnificient building, Lisa (Turano) Wojcik.
