The Miss Nevada Scholarship Organization is the overarching umbrella for both the Miss Nevada and Miss Nevada’s Outstanding Teen programs. An official preliminary to the prestigious Miss America Pageant, the Miss Nevada program has a rich history of empowering young women to achieve their dreams and goals. Beyond the titleholders, is the volunteer team and “pageant family” who have dedicated their lives to ensure these young women maximize every opportunity made available to them through this transformational pageant system. Miss Nevada has been wearing the crown and serving her community for nearly 70 years, originating in 1949, and we crowned our first Miss Nevada’s Outstanding Teen in 2005. We are one of the largest providers of scholarship funds to young women throughout our great state, and have awarded over $1,000,000 since our inception. We believe that true beauty embodies dignity, courage, intelligence, talent and kindness. The Miss Nevada and Miss Nevada’s Outstanding Teen programs energize these qualities, supporting young women in their pursuit of academic excellence, service and lifelong success. We operate within the guidelines of the Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organizations while stressing individuality, personal development, communication skills and physical fitness.
