How can you help leaders foster a more inclusive workplace culture?
I agree. In my experience we must assess the truly stage of the business by doing the following: a) Measure the level of inclusion that the employees feel, especially the underrepresented groups. Understanding the inner and unspoken feelings of those groups will be the first step to build a more inclusive culture. Look into what is working and what is missing. b) Benchmark your employee population to the country population and also the level of diversity and inclusion at your customers if in a B2B environment; and c) Hire and sponsor leaders who are diverse and belong to underrepresented populations. Successful role models of the same group is a great step for employees to feel that they belong and can be successful too.
