“CJ managed me directly for two years at Audible and was instrumental in my growth and development from a junior manager with a small team to a more seasoned leader of a larger organization. He provided solid guidance and leadership to the entire group, mixing an ability to built trust with developers through technical knowledge and experience and a personable demeanor. He also manages relationships with stakeholders extraordinarily well and provided an excellent layer of interface above the direct teams, diving deep when necessary. CJ was a strong proponent of setting measurable goals and pushing quality to an exceptionally high bar which he held the teams accountable to. This proved a strong approach as the teams were able to meet many stetch goals as a result. CJ was an excellent mentor to me and others, providing good constructive, timely feedback, and setting a direction and vision rather than micromanaging. He allows his reports to chart their own path while holding them to a high bar which I hold directly responsible for my personal and team's growth and improvement. ”
