What are the best practices for using digital learning to improve your team's leadership skills?
Asynchronous online learning works, but accountability matters. A team lead must be an engaged facilitator of learning by devoting time to monitoring the learning - taking opportunities to notice how leaders are progressing.

What are the best practices for using digital learning to improve your team's leadership skills?
I don't know that a machine giving me a badge is going to work for me at this stage in my career. I think I'd be more drawn to some intuitive feedback on how my leadership practices can grow or change some 15 years into the leadership experience. I would imagine there are others in my leadership "era" who might feel the same way. People are all in different stages of leadership growth and development, and it would be important to differentiate instruction to meet all learner's needs. I want to deploy a digital learning tool that offers memorable and actionable feedback to leaders and creates a cycle of skills practice by participants and follow-up coaching by the team lead.

What are the best practices for using digital learning to improve your team's leadership skills?
1. People will use what is easy to use. While you may eventually need to consider things like gamification and all the various bells and whistles, a learning tool that is overly complicated or loaded with options can be a deterrent. 2. The opportunity for socialization is a definite draw. Human learning has largely been a social experience - all education systems are set up that way. A digital learning tool that capitalizes on the dopamine hits we get from social interaction stands a good chance of engaging people in the workplace.
