After the community's cable provider indicated an interest in turning local access programming over to the community, Mr. Benway and several other founding directors formed MPEG Access, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, to take over the responsibility of providing public, educational, and governmental programming to the cable subscribers of Milton, MA.
During this time, the Board of Directors formed the corporation, developed and approved a comprehensive business plan, hired…After the community's cable provider indicated an interest in turning local access programming over to the community, Mr. Benway and several other founding directors formed MPEG Access, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, to take over the responsibility of providing public, educational, and governmental programming to the cable subscribers of Milton, MA.
During this time, the Board of Directors formed the corporation, developed and approved a comprehensive business plan, hired initial staff, facilitated the transition of operations from Comcast to the new entity, and secured a long-term contract with the town government to continue providing these services. Additionally, additional capital improvements were made to update MATV's infrastructure to current technology, while providing seamless broadcast to the local cable subscribers. Programming included coverage of regular town government meetings, coverage of local sporting events, coverage of public school events and programming, and other programming relevant to the residents of the town.
During this period, Mr. Benway served as the treasurer of the organization, overseeing it's financial well-being, as well as managing payroll, vendor payables, annual budgets, and payment of capital expenditures. -

Mr. Benway served as the surety’s consultant and project manager for the management of a multi-project surety default in Western New York, including projects in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and the Southern Tier. The principal had a portfolio of 22 open projects at the time of default. The projects included multiple public school renovations and additions, renovations and additions to a maximum security prison, interior fit out of science laboratories at a university medical school campus…
