🏅 NAM #2 – 31st MEU, Multinational Operations & MDSS II Systems (2015)

Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (NAM) for sustained superior performance as the Embarkation NCO-in-Charge of Combat Logistics Battalion 31 (CLB-31), supporting the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) across multiple high-profile missions: COBRA GOLD, PHIBLEX, TALISMAN SABRE, and Operation Damayan.

Managed the full lifecycle of over 10,576 short tons of gear and 2,800 Marines’ equipment across 3 Amphibious Ready Group vessels. I was responsible for the configuration, validation, and distribution of MDSS II and ICODES data for 13 operational sections. This ensured transportation-supportable load plans for all ship-to-shore movement, including 260+ LCAC/LCU evolutions on the USS GERMANTOWN and USS TORTUGA.
Acted as Team Embarkation Assistant (TEA), a billet normally filled by a Staff Sergeant, where I directly liaised with Marine Expeditionary Force staff, briefed mission-critical logistics data, and adapted to changing force requirements with real-time load plan conversions. Routinely served as the authoritative logistics planner in high-level meetings, resolving complex gear accountability and embarkation sequencing issues.
My contributions placed me in the top 10% of Marines in my grade for leadership, scope, and impact. I was known for unmatched accountability, adaptability under pressure, and a deep command of data systems that drove operational success across multiple theaters.
Core Skills: Deployment Readiness, Amphibious Operations, MDSS II, ICODES, Global Logistics, Joint/Coalition Exercises, Embarkation Ops, Ship-to-Shore Movement, Asset Visibility, Strategic Load Planning, Mission Sustainment -

Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (NAM) for exceptional performance as the senior embarkation Marine supporting the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit during Philippines Bi-Lateral Exercise (PHIBLEX) 13 and Operation Damayan, a critical humanitarian assistance mission following Typhoon Haiyan.
As the only embarkation Marine on-site at Crow Valley, I led the strategic retrograde and movement of over 1,200 Marines, 200+ pieces of gear, and 120 vehicles across two battalions under high operational tempo. I developed and executed the full load plan, coordinating with cross-functional leadership to retrograde equipment safely and rapidly. I was directly responsible for enabling the final 48 hours of live-fire joint training operations by ensuring gear was packed, staged, and loaded in real time—often working without rest over 72 continuous hours.
Led the reconstitution of 40+ mobile loads across 20 tactical vehicles, ensuring CLB-31 had all assets ready for future contingency ops across the Pacific Command. I also stayed on-site post-mission to validate full equipment accountability, preventing loss and streamlining future deployment readiness.
In recognition of my role in the successful evacuation and support of disaster relief during Operation Damayan, I was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal, contributing directly to U.S. foreign humanitarian efforts in the Indo-Pacific.
