How do you balance diverse perspectives to harmonize conflicting ideas in a brainstorming session?
1) Create a structure to share: Is this a stick it on the whiteboard exercise, or a group meeting to talk? For group meeting: - How many minutes per person? - Who is the timekeeper? - What's the sequence of shares? Make it fun: for example, the one with the longest hair goes first. - Who is the notetaker? 2) What's the communication distinction utilized here? Practice listening and recreation with prompts like "I hear you say xx, is that correct?". 3) Categorize ideas by identifying similarities. 4) Vote on 3-5 ideas to discuss. 5) For each idea, discuss pros and cons, potential bias, potential breakdowns, and alternative solutions. Group votes on 1-2 ideas to experiment. Set clear next step: - Who is doing what - By when?

How can you build momentum off of your social media team's success?
Congratulate them and ask how they achieve the results. What do they learn from achieving the results so that they can repeat those results and educate others. For example, here are 3 questions I often use for reflection: What did I do well? What could I have done better? What I would do differently next time? Often times I find these reflection incredibly powerful, especially when things doesn’t go the way we want sometimes. The perfectionist in me often see all the things that I didn’t accomplish versus the things that I accomplished. So start with “what did I do well” actually allow me to see what I did accomplished. On the other hand, when things are going well like the above example, it captures the lessons can be repeated.

How do you handle different types of errors, such as input, system, or network errors?
Yes, error messages can make or break the user experience. Users may not notice or appreciate good user interfaces right away, but they are likely to get frustrated or lose interest when something goes wrong. Here are 3 UX principles that I teach: 1) Communicate clearly and concisely with language that a child or a grandma can understand. 2) Offer a clear solution or next step; sometimes, linking to tutorials or instructional videos can be helpful. 3) Surprise and delight is one principle that I often emphasize, and they couldn't be more critical during a breakdown like errors. So add a little humor to soften the frustration. It can be as simple as "Oops, we screwed up..." or like this: https://bit.ly/UX_ErrorMessages
