Your colleague keeps interrupting your lead conversations. How can you establish clear boundaries?
I daresay that women professionals experience this phenomenon routinely, to the point of exhaustion. In some circles it's called "mansplaining". If it weren't such a frustrating behavior it would almost be refreshing to hear that "speaking over another" doesn't just happen to women. That said, I appreciate (and have had to practice) the boundary-setting steps laid out by @Parseel IP. I would add a fifth: 5. create a culture of recognizing/acknowledging the contributions of others: "building off my colleague's comments..." or "I agree with my colleague and would add...", etc. you get the picture.
