I was once given some very sound advice and it has served me well. Know you are the CEO of your life, no one else is, and you get to decide and choose how you will live it! I choose to put God first, family and friends, and then the lifework I have been called to do in that order. When I get out of balance I realize I am not keeping my priorities in the right order. Keeping those priorities is key to experiencing joy, peace, and contentment in my life. I also remember I am not perfect, nor are others and that helps me enjoy life not just endure it! Also being able to laugh at myself and not feel guilty for taking time for myself is key to making it a life of joy.

Today's marketing world is fast-paced and changes come quickly! Make sure you know and stay true to your values, keep a positive mindset, and surround yourself with those who will help build you up, and make laughter a part of the journey! Take time to rest and enjoy the benefits your chosen profession brings to you.

I have found that some today no longer personally handle or oversee their social media, which can be a downfall for your brand and the integrity of your company. Being personal and real is the key to connection and lead generation. Building relationships first is key for me, not playing the 'numbers' game with others.

Life can be complex if we let it be! When faced with large and detailed projects seek God and pray for His direction before you begin. Many of our great problem solvers recommend this approach too! Then you can make the right choices to keep it simple by breaking it down into easy parts to handle! Don't think you have to do it by yourself. Use your staff, team, and ask questions from the experts that you have in your contact list. Plan your time so that you don't let doubt, fear, distractions, discouragement, and distortions, interrupt your focus on finding the solutions. Once you see that you have achieved a doable and workable plan, review it with those who will be impacted with your choices and decisions, so you can see it in action.

As I have found in being a motivational speaker and now in representing and booking speakers, my one thought for speakers is: "you don't have to compare or compete with anyone or anything; you just have to be 'IN' the competition!" That means you need to see what is out there in your expertise how it is marketed, and find your target markets and what they expect to see from you to hire you! Just ask and people love to help you find what is truly your authentic and marketable self! It is there waiting for you!
