    - Design of Experiments were framed based on which significant parameters were selected and parameter levels were fixed based on full factorial method. Experiments were carried out in kirloskar 2215 model cylindrical grinding machine and surface roughness values were tabulated.
    - Fuzzy logic based model was developed based on Mamdani Inference system for the analysis and simulation of correlation between surface roughness and the grinding parameters namely feed rate, cutting speed and depth of cut.
    - The optimized levels of parameters were fixed for the machine, thus reducing the impacts of poor chip breaking and machine distortion. The cycle time of the machining process was improved by 6%,thus increasing the material removal rate of the process.
