- [Instructor] In Azure Cosmos DB, you start by creating a database account. This account is the top level entity that provides a unique DNS name and manages various databases. Next, create the database itself. Each database within the database account goes into a container. An account can have multiple containers. The terminology for containers changes depending on the API used. For the SQL API, they are referred to as containers. For the Gremlin API, they are called graphs. For the Cassandra API and the Table API, they are called tables. No matter what they're called, they're the places where the data is stored. It's easy to start. On the Azure portal, create a new Cosmos DB resource and you'll see this page appear. This will help you start the process. Just choose the appropriate item. For this example, I chose Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL. Next, I fill out some additional information. One important part is the account name. I've picked the name "bigpicturecourse". This is important…
