- [Instructor] BI, or business intelligence, is critical in the success of an organization. Until recently, the process of obtaining BI was reactive. They would examine the past and current data to extract the necessary insights to drive important business decisions. Although there was some automation involved, collecting BI was largely manual and opportunistic, which in turn, made it expensive and time consuming. Thankfully, the advent of data analytics use in businesses is rapidly changing this traditional way of using data to improve business practices. First, there's now more data available and we also have the computing power to process the data in a much larger scale more effectively. Second, it's now feasible to automate the entire process of analyzing data and making predictions with technologies such as machine learning or ML.
