- In this lesson, we're going to explore the concept of conditional access, which is really critical, especially in a zero trust environment. Conditional access is a security strategy that uses context based or attribute or characteristic based policies to manage the access of principles or subjects, be them people or devices or components to systems and data. So instead of simply granting or denying access based on some presented user credential, conditional policies evaluate basic additional conditions or attributes to make more risk-based or dynamic informed decisions for access controls. So some techniques for this access would be user-to-device binding. This would make sure that users are restricted to accessing resources only from trusted devices, or certain users can only use certain devices which are registered for them.
