You can create connection by smiling with your voice, laughing when appropriate, and putting your voice on a roller coaster, going up and down, talking faster and slower, and even lowering your voice. You use vocal variety naturally with your family and friends. Apply the same energy to customer conversations and create rapport easier. Research the communication styles of the cultures you interact with to understand their preferences better. You can then tailor your communication approach accordingly.
