The debate around ethics in cybersecurity has been at the heart of some well-publicized events that have impacted global politics. Let's turn our attention to the global stage for a moment. Edward Snowden. Just saying his name is enough to evoke some powerful emotions among cybersecurity professionals. Some folks hail him as a hero, while other folks believe he should be tried, imprisoned, and executed. When Snowden was an NSA analyst, he used his access to expose a data mining program known as PRISM, a program that many privacy advocates believe was both unconstitutional and an overextension of the agency's authority.
