Thomas Jefferson said that knowledge is power, and the notion that great power is accompanied by great responsibility has been touted by Winston Churchill, both Teddy and Franklin D. Roosevelt, and even Stan Lee. Now that you're armed with a knowledge of ethics and cybersecurity, I hope that you'll wield this power responsibly when faced with ethical challenges. Suppose a good friend contacts you saying that they've been victimized by a cyber stalker. They know that you work in cybersecurity, and they want you to hack into the stalker's email account and collect some evidence that they can take to law enforcement. What do you tell them? What if another friend lets you know that their daughter has joined a hacktivist group, and they want you to sit down with her and have a heart-to-heart talk about the perils of hacktivism.
