- Are you good at multitasking or do you wish you were one of those people who seem to be able to get five things done at once? I've got news for you. Multitasking isn't everything it's cracked up to be while you may be under the illusion that it's a valuable skill to have, it's got its limitations and it doesn't occur as often as you'd think. While the constant demands of computers and digital devices exacerbate our inclination to multitask, research has shown multitasking doesn't exist when it comes to more cognitively demanding tasks. If you're talking about walking and chewing gum at the same time, that's one thing.
