Apply your skills with Hack the Box

- [Instructor] Welcome to this LinkedIn cybersecurity course, powered by Hack The Box. LinkedIn has partnered with Hack The Box, the world's leading platform for hands-on cybersecurity upskilling to bring you interactive cybersecurity labs where you can practice applying the needed skills for real world environments and scenarios. There's no better way to gain practice for what you can expect to see in the real world. In the courses powered by Hack The Box, you will find the lab included within the learning experience at the bottom of each interactive chapter. As you work through the course, you'll get to this point where you'll then navigate to choose your connection settings. At this point, select the dropdown options that indicate the lowest latency and load. So step one, connect to Hack The Box, choose how you want to interact with the lab. Use Pwnbox, a browser-based virtual machine with all necessary tools built in, or download the VPN file to use your own environment. At step two, spawn your targets. Power the lab on by clicking Spawn target, and when the lab is ready, you'll see an IP address you can use to access it. The labs simulate realistic infrastructure for deeper investigations and scenarios, and they also provide an isolated environment to practice focused tasks. At step three, answer the questions. Once step one and two are complete, start interacting with the targets and submit your answers in the answer questions section. It is important to note that the solution of each exercise is available to ease a learning curve of each covered topic or task. Solutions can be activated through the Enable solutions toggle and offer a step-by-step walkthrough. As you work through this course, you'll find self-assessments to test your knowledge. In addition, at the end of the course, you will find a summative assessment that allows you to gauge your understanding across all topic areas covered. These are valuable tools for insights into how well you've mastered a skill, measure your upskilling progress, and help you identify areas for improvement.
