- Now you understand the basics of how AI works and how Gen AI is different, but it's worth knowing that Gen AI is powered by different pieces. There are foundational models like OpenAI or LaMDA, then there are native interfaces made by the same people who make those models, like ChatGPT or Bard. Then there are additional plugins and applications you can use to do specialized tasks. It's worth knowing this, not only because somebody's probably trying to sell you AI tools right now. They may just be an interface on top of someone else's AI. That has its own risk. It can have serious consequences. You need to be aware of that.
