Negotiate ad placement and frequency with hosts and agencies

- With podcast advertising, you have three obvious advertising spots. Pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll. Typically, advertising during the mid-roll is the most expensive spot, then the pre-roll and lastly the post-roll. The mid-roll is typically the most valuable spot because during the middle of the podcast is when you've captured your audience's attention. Post-roll is the least expensive because typically, percentage of listeners would've dropped off before the very end of the episode. So negotiating ad placement and frequency with podcast host or agencies is crucial for ensuring that your advertisements reach your target audience effectively and achieve your advertising goals.
