- [Instructor] Essential gears for social media content creation. A DSLR or mirrorless camera is a must have if you want to create high quality pictures and videos. The brand that I'm using is Canon EOS R. People often ask me how I make such high quality videos and that's because I shoot most of my footages using my camera instead of my phone. Lighting is so underrated but it makes all the differences when it comes to making your video look professional. The one that I'm using is the Mountdog Softbox Lighting kit and I love that I can control the color and brightness using the remote. External microphone is also important if you want to create better audio and voiceovers for your videos. I mostly use the Rode Wireless GO for indoor fimming and voiceover, and I use the VideoMic NTG for vlogging. You definitely need a tripod if you want to stabilize your footages. I recommend getting at least one tripod for higher up camera position and one Gorillapod for more flexibility. High quality pictures and videos take up a lot of space, so it's best to have a backup place to store them. I use the Samsung SSD drive if I need a quick access to my working files. Then I back up everything using the LaCie drives. Then I do a backup of the backup using the Western Digital Element drive.
