LinkedIn Premium
- [Instructor] In this video, I want to introduce LinkedIn Premium. Let's explore what it is and how it could potentially benefit you during your transition from college to career. I'm inside of Lisa's account, and in the upper right corner, you'll see here where it says, "Upskill with Premium." I'm going to click on that, and here it's asking, "Lisa, are you interested in Premium "for work or personal use?" You can put whatever here. I'm going to put other and click next because I want to get to this screen. Now, here are the different types of Premium accounts. In the case of being a student, the most relevant one here would be career, get hired and get ahead. So stand out, get in touch with hiring managers and more. Now click here on, "Learn More." So it brings you to this page, and it explains some of the benefits that you get with a Premium account. Now, LinkedIn Premium is an optional paid subscription service that does offer several additional features. The standard account provides many powerful tools, and in fact everything we've done in this course can be done with a regular LinkedIn account. However, the LinkedIn Premium can give you some extra advantages, especially when you're job searching and networking. So here you can see some of them. One is you get five InMails per month, meaning that you can send InMails or messages to people that you are not connected with. Here, you can see who's viewed your profile. So in other words, you can check that out to find out if any recruiters or anyone has been viewing your profile. Open profile allows you to have people that are not connected to you be able to send connection requests. That is, if you have a Premium account and turn on open profile. When you're searching for a job, there are several different things here, including job and applicant insights, company insights and more that can help. And you also get access to the LinkedIn Library with over 21,000 courses, as well as access to their interview preparation tools, which are really cool. So depending on the situation you're in, you might want to consider LinkedIn Premium if you think that some of these features can help you out.
