- [Instructor] My goal in this course is to walk you through the process of creating a solid LinkedIn profile as a student who isn't necessarily in the same situation as someone already into their career. Now, if you don't already have an account, you can navigate here to linkedin.com, and this will bring you to the homepage, where you can sign in or, in this case, sign up. Now, I don't have an account, so I'm going to go down to the bottom and click on Join Now. Here, it allows me to sign up for an account. Now, throughout this course, I'll be creating a fictitious account for Lisa Corla, who we'll say is a student studying marketing at the Roux Academy. I'm going to go ahead and create an account here for Lisa. I'll do that by entering in her email address. So there, as I signed up, it asked me a few things, such as where I go to school, if I'm looking for a job, and other things. And like that, the account for Lisa is created. However, it's far from complete. Throughout the rest of this chapter, we'll take a look at how we can continue to customize your profile in order to make it stand out and help achieve your goals.
