- [Instructor] One very useful way to analyze your data is by plotting it geographically. If you don't have access to a full updated geographic information system, you can download the map Shapefiles from the United States Census Bureau's website. I have gone to the Census Bureau's geography program. You can find that online at census.gov/programs-surveys/geography.html. And you can see all kinds of links at the top. You can explore the data. Go to the library. Survey some programs, finding codes and so on. In this case, what we're looking for is geography. Specifically files that will allow you to create your own maps. So if you scroll down just a little bit, you'll see geography is on the right among the three major clickable regions at the top. If you click geographies, you'll be taken to another page that will display. When you do, you will see that you can download geography reference maps that show the boundaries and names of geographic areas the Census Bureau knows about…
