- [Instructor] Most SharePoint Online team sites have a OneNote Notebook that is not part of the document library. It's freestanding, but attached to the team site and it's attached to the group if you have an Office 365 group sitting under your site. So it's accessible, not just from SharePoint, it's also accessible if you are working in Outlook. OneNote gives you the ability to quickly edit text, to take notes at a meeting, like the August Staff Meeting, and to tag items so that you know how to follow up on them. To be able to click on a page, really, and insert anything you can insert in a browser. So you could insert a file as an attachment or to insert a printout of the file, to insert tables, to insert pictures from a camera or from a file or online, insert audio, insert math, and insert the details of a particular meeting that you can retrieve from your Outlook calendar.
