- While presets are quite useful, you might have noticed that the creative camera profiles are a bit more intuitive and offer some simplified controls that are easier for most people to use. Let me show you how to create one from scratch. What you're going to want to do is develop an image to taste. Let's keep working on the one we have here. What I'll do is really modify this a bit. Let's come in and switch it back to a color profile out of black and white but I'm going to pull things down a little, lower vibrance and really just reduce the exposure down a bit. So we're actually just slightly underexposed. Let's pull the black point down and balance out the shadows a bit. And I like where this is going. I'm going to keep most of the things the same here. I'm just going for a flat desaturated look. But with color grading, I'll put a little bit more blue into the shadows and just a touch of gold back into the highlights…
