Well, the Microsoft Rights Management, RMS Connector, lets you quickly enable existing on-premises servers to use information rights management functionality from the cloud-based version, or what's called Azure RMS. With this functionality, IT and also the users in the organization can easily protect documents and pictures, both inside and outside the organization. You can also do this without installing additional infrastructure or even establishing trust relationships with other organizations or applications. The RMS Connector supports the following on-premises services, Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, and file servers that run Windows Server and use the file classification infrastructure to classify and apply policies to Office documents in a folder.
