Apply sorting to visuals

- [Instructor] In this sub-lesson, we will apply sorting to visuals. In Power BI, you can apply sorting on visuals or in the data model itself. So, let's go to the Power BI desktop and take a look. I am now on the Power BI desktop here. And let's go ahead and show you where we can go ahead and apply sorting on the visual. So, I'm going to hover over top of this cluster column chart and there are three ellipses at the top. I'll click on that and I'm going to notice that I have the ability to sort the axes. I can sort the axes based on OrderDateCalendarYear or the Total Sales. And I can sort descending or ascending. So, we can see right now it's set to sort by OrderDateCalendarYear in ascending order. But I may want to do this by total sales. So, now I can see it's going from lowest total sales all the way to the highest total sales. So, we can go ahead and play around with that if we want, but you basically fundamentally see how sorting can be applied at the visualization level. Next…
