Where in cybersecurity?

You may be thinking, where do I go in cybersecurity? Because often I hear people say they want to be in cybersecurity, but let's think about it. Cybersecurity is a big field. It's almost like someone saying they want to play sports. You have to pick a sport. Fortunately, this field has so many directions you can go that no matter what your interest is, there is definitely something for you. The big three that I like to talk about is red team, which is offensive security; blue team, which is defensive security; and GRC, which stands for governance, risk, and compliance. Of course, your journey isn't limited to just these, but learning about these particular sectors in cybersecurity can really help you make a decision on where you want to go. Each one is different. Each one has its own rewards and challenges. Your job is to figure out which one is best for you.
