What are foundational GenAI models?
- Remember we learned the definition of foundation models earlier? Now I'm going to tell you about different types of foundation models, and how you can use them in your business. Let's review the definition. So, "foundation model" is a term used to define neural networks trained on huge volume of unlabeled data, and they're capable of general tasks, such as understanding language and chatting with us, and they can generate texts and images. Generative AI comes with pre-trained foundation models for generation of texts or images. Some models are available as multi-modal models, capable of generating many types of content using the same model. Large Language Models are used to build language-based apps like the chatbots we've been building so far, or AI assistance for summarization, or knowledge extraction from documents, and they also do machine translation, using voice or text.
