2021 OWASP Top 10
- [Caroline] We use web applications every day in both our personal and our professional lives. We want them to be safe and secure. The best way to secure web applications is to find and fix security vulnerabilities. OWASP stands for Open Web Applications Security Project and the top 10 list is a resource for any and everyone who is involved in building web applications. It helps us to understand the most common types of security vulnerabilities. This course covers the fifth and sixth categories in the 2021 OWASP top 10, security misconfiguration and vulnerable and outdated components. I'm Caroline Wong, Chief Strategy Officer at Cobalt. I've worked in the cybersecurity field since 2005. I've seen firsthand how security vulnerabilities get introduced into web applications. I've also learned how to identify and address them. Come and join me. Let's empower ourselves so that we can build more secure web applications.
