Advice on how much detail to share

- [Narrator] While we're talking about project lifecycle and project management, let me share a bit of advice if you are new to the consulting side of data science. As data scientists, we are used to logging long hours, staring at the screen and getting very much into the details. But not everyone wants to be regaled with the whole story and certainly not frequently. If you're anything like me, you have to sleep on it and think it through before you can share a complex point coherently. So in general, it's best to hold back a bit. Since we've just introduced CRISP-DM and I've suggested that you structure your time with it, we should extend that advice to project management. Remember that not everyone is involved with every task. As the project lead, you may be the only one that has to keep track of every single detail. The project sponsor doesn't want to have to deal with that, so keep IT details just to IT, for instance, or most of them certainly. Share only with subject matter…
