- You've now finished our production management course. Congratulations for that. You've learned about designing, planning, managing, and supporting a factory, and some things about processes along the way. It's a lot of information, I know, but, actually, we've just scratched the surface. If you're interested in more details on these topics, I highly recommend the book "OM 6" by David Collier and James Evans. OM stands for Operations Management. In 16 years of teaching, this is the very best textbook I've found. In fact, I structured this course based on the outline of this textbook, so you will find details about every one of these topics, and more, presented in a logical order. He provides insight into job skills, certifications, and careers in operations and supply chain management, and even has a course on weekly management tips you can apply at work.
