- The Project Management Institute defines a program as a group of related projects managed in a coordinated way to obtain benefits and control not available from managing them individually. With all due respect to PMI, I think Aristotle said it better. "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts." With that in mind, in order to get the most value from this course, you should already have a solid understanding of project management.
