Do you know how to rest?
Well-being means something different to everyone. It's all about getting to know what works for you. But when it comes to our well-being, one thing is universal. Knowing when to rest. Rest is a hugely underrated factor in maintaining our resilience. We need to rest when things are stable, and we definitely need to rest when things are not. Now, I know this may seem impossible when you're feeling the pinch of added demand, but rest doesn't have to mean doing nothing. You can find restoration in a myriad of different ways. That's why I love the research by Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith. You can find her talking about it in her TED talk. Dr. Dalton-Smith describes the seven different types of rest we all need. So let's take a look at them. Firstly, it's physical rest. Now, this is the most familiar type of rest.
