- Sharing your best self at work is tricky yet rewarding. You want to maintain professionalism, but know that you need trust and familiarity in the mix. I hope our time together provided insight into how work relationships develop and that you've gained strategies for sharing in special circumstances. But an online class can only take you so far. Now I challenge you to become a master observer. Over the next few weeks, think about these questions. First, what are the norms of self-disclosure in your workplace? What do people enjoy talking about and what subjects are off limits? Second, do you know what each member of your team does very well? Do they know your relevant strengths and capabilities?
