- Now, if you're having as much fun as I am, yes, business analysis really is fun. The ECBA is only the beginning. As mentioned, we use the ECBA to get the experience. As you get the experience, now it's time to consider an advanced business analysis certification. The IIBA offers the gold standard when it comes to business analysis certifications: the Certified Business Analysis Professional, or CBAP, as it is known. The CBAP, though, requires substantial experience, along with formal education in business analysis work. This is why it's an advanced certification. But with those advanced requirements, makes this certification even more valuable to you as you look to stand out as a true value-adding professional.
