- [Instructor] Did you know many open cybersecurity jobs aren't advertised? One of the best ways to find these hidden opportunities is through your personal network. However, connecting with people in an unfamiliar field might seem challenging if you're transitioning from a non cybersecurity role. Luckily, there are straightforward ways to expand your cybersecurity network. One of the best ways to connect with cybersecurity professionals, is by participating in security conferences and meetups. There, you'll find a concentration of active cybersecurity people. If you live in or near a major urban area, you'll likely see these events happening frequently. Do some online research and ask your current IT and cybersecurity contacts to find security events to attend. While at security events, focus on making genuine connections with cybersecurity professionals. Initiate conversations. Ask them about their roles.…
