What you should know
- [Instructor] In this course, I expect that you should already know a little bit about Windows Server. I want you to have at least a general understanding of Windows Server operating systems. Additionally, you should have at least some general knowledge about Active Directory Domain Services. There's another course that I have called Install and Configuration, and so you should already know how to install and configure Active Directory Domain Services before you get into this course. And it would be helpful, but it's certainly not required if you have some experience or some knowledge working with Windows Server 2016, so that you know the interface and you know how to manage your way through it. Now in this course, there will be some demonstrations that I will walk you through, and I will tell you that my system that I have setup here is a little bit more elaborate than what you would need if you want to follow along. I will have a grand total of six or seven domain controllers I believe that I'll have running, but you could actually get away with as few as four computers running Windows Server 2016. They're then deployed as domain controllers, and in fact, one of those computers should already have Active Directory Domain Services installed with a forest root domain in place. Okay because that's where I'm at at the start of this course as well. So outside of that, that's pretty much all you should need, and you're ready to go ahead and get started on the course.
