Vision or Vague? Does this look familiar? 👇 “To accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.” “To electrify the world with renewable energy.” “To reimagine energy for people and our planet.” “To be the leading clean energy company.” “To make mobility sustainable for future generations.” They sound inspiring. But here’s the problem: any company in the green energy space could use them. And they do. ❌ No clear target. ❌ No timeframe, nor sense of urgency ❌ No unique “why us” or “how.” The result? A vision that feels good in a pitch deck, but doesn’t help customers, partners, or investors truly understand what makes you different, or why they should believe in you. 👉 A sharp vision isn’t just a slogan. It’s concrete, specific, and only yours. It should create FOMO for stakeholders: “If I don’t join this journey now, I’ll miss out.” ✅ Example of a vision I want to join: ”In 20 years, we’ll have powered cars, homes, and devices everywhere with affordable, recyclable, toxic-free batteries made from common salt.” I hate seeing great green tech stall because their "story to sell" isn’t clear.
