When supply chain plans shift overnight, adaptability matters. A customer recently had to close part of their service network and needed a new solution to keep freight moving from their southern distribution center into the Northeast. Pyle flexed across business units to build an Integrated Pool Distribution solution that delivered: ✔ Competitive LTL pricing ✔ Industry-leading service backed by one of the lowest claim ratios ✔ Full shipment visibility from southern origin to final mile The result? The customer avoided costly disruption, maintained reliable service to their end customers, and gained flexibility to keep operations on track. How can businesses build an inventory strategy that minimizes unexpected air freight? Begin by looking at your holding rate, defined as your holding costs divided by your inventory value. “If your holding rate is low, it’s not that expensive to keep inventory in your fulfillment centers,” said Sanne Manders, Flexport’s President of International Revenue. In those situations, “we recommend ocean freight because you can stock up a little more. But if your holding rate is high, we recommend air freight.” Watch the full Eliminating Air Freight from Your Supply Chain here: https://flx.to/elim-air-LI

As Q4 locks in, we’re noticing some interesting shifts, all about executing for the holiday season and getting ducks in rows for 2026. 1) Easy to overlook the costs of sticking with a logistics provider that’s not performing well just to get through ‘this last season’. From getting containers from port to warehouse, to making sure containers are utilized efficiently (LTL does not belong on a 20’), to the internal energy drain that comes with accomodating poor performance:A thoughtful upgrade to your Ocean provider in a Buyers market is worth it on several levels: Execution, Costs, Morale. 2) This year has been a rollercoaster in Sourcing, with tariff changes and new Port Fees, among many dynamics that cause hair loss. If reports are accurate, larger retailers are absorbing tariff costs, best possible so…In an environment where customers are trying to mitigate the size of price increases: Imagine coming to a Line Review/PLR in 2026 with a cost savings? Its feasible, we are seeing it and in some cases, enough to share. Forsyth Advisors - strategic sourcing & procurement
