I grew up watching my mom fix things that most people would call an “electrician” or “carpenter” for. A defective switch? A loose wire? A jammed door? She never waited around. She rolled up her sleeves, picked up the toolkit, and got it done. To me, she isn’t just my mom. She is an all-rounder. And without saying a word, she taught me something powerful, that knowing the basics is non-negotiable. Because running a home is no different from running a business. If you don’t know the basics from electricals to hardware to daily management, you’ll always be in a compromised state when an emergency arrives. And as a founder, I’ve realised it’s the same. You don’t have to be the expert in everything, but you must know enough about every corner of your business from finance to marketing to ops, so you’re never stuck waiting for someone else to “fix it.” That mindset, of learning the small things, is what makes a difference. So, here’s to my mom, who not only runs our house but also built in me the foundation of being hands-on, curious, and never afraid to figure things out. Sheeba Bansal 💛
Founders and mothers, both build, both fix, both lead from the front. Your mom wasn’t just solving problems. She was teaching resilience in disguise. Knowing the basics doesn’t make you smaller - it makes you unshakeable. Aakriti Bansal

So much to learn here!
True hands-on leadership is about stepping in with impact, not micromanaging every detail. Aakriti Bansal
Being hands-on shows confidence, not control; it’s about knowing when and how to step up effectively. Aakriti Bansal
This is such a powerful parallel, knowing the basics keeps you independent, whether it’s a home or a business.
Moms teach us so much about resilience!
This underscores the importance of adaptability in both life and business. Thank you for sharing this powerful lesson.
