This #MemorialDay, we celebrate a partnership that strengthens our veterans’ health and well-being: the decades-long collaboration between medical schools and teaching hospitals and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). For 75+ years, dating back to WWII, the VA has been an indispensable part of physician training. In fact, approximately 70% of physicians in the U.S. complete part of their training within VA facilities.
