The exploration phase is a really important part of any new job search. Use this opportunity to think broadly about the career that you want, the industry you want to work in, and the complexity of the organization that you want to be a part of. Take an inventory of the skills and experiences you've gained. Ask yourself, what do I want to do more or less of? Am I open to relocation? What does my past experiences taught me about my professional goals? What am I willing and not willing to compromise on then? Consider that to your compensation and benefits expectations. Be clear with your recruiter on how a new job must fall within these parameters. This will help define the terms of your new job search.
