The City of Berkeley unveiled the Southside Complete Streets project this week. The upgrades, which impact Bancroft Way, Dana, and Fulton streets, include a bus lane on Bancroft, two-way cycle tracks, traffic signal improvements, and various pedestrian crossing improvements. The Bancroft bus lane will improve travel times, and the other multimodal improvements make it easier and safer for our riders to access our service. It was a pleasure to hear from, and talk to Adena Ishii, Mayor Elect for the City of Berkeley, Councilmember Cecilia Lunaparra, Councilmember Mark Humbert, and others at the event. The project was funded by Alameda County Transportation Commission and Caltrans, in addition to other various sources.
