The hotel construction pipeline in the Caribbean is surging. According to Lodging Econometrics, the Caribbean has a pipeline of 151 hotels with 31,300 rooms as of Q4 2023, with significant growth in 2025. The Dominican Republic leads with 48 projects, including luxury developments like the Four Seasons Resort and Residences. Other notable projects include the St. Regis Aruba, Six Senses La Sagesse in Grenada, and JW Marriott St. Maarten. The surge is driven by a luxury hotel boom, with brands like Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Waldorf-Astoria expanding, fueled by high tourism demand and post-pandemic capital investments.
