🌟 September is National PACE Month! 🌟 At Upham’s PACE, we’re proud to care for and support older adults in our community every day. This month, we’re celebrating PACE by introducing you to some of the incredible providers who make our program possible. Throughout September, we’ll spotlight a different member of our care team—sharing their background, clinical interests, and a fun fact or two. Follow along to get to know the people who care for and support our participants every day here at PACE. Debbie Barnes, Family Nurse Practitioner PACE Center: Savin Hill/Dorchester When did you join PACE? Originally in 1996; I left and rejoined PACE in 2010. Educational Background: University of Connecticut (studied math and science). I did my nursing education at MGH Health Institute. Clinical Interests: Geriatrics and Homecare (I worked in this area for 10 years). Non-Clinical Interests: I love gardening, my 2 cats, and travelling. Some of my favorite places I have been to are Bali, Kathmandu, Peru, and Mexico. Fun Fact: I have a monarch caterpillar cocoon MassPACE Association National PACE® Association
