750 educators live, 2 powerhouse district leaders, and one global conversation about the future of learning. I had the privilege of moderating a powerful conversation at the Kahoot! EDU Summit last week with two inspiring district leaders: 💫 Lauren Richardson, Indian Hill Exempted Village School District ✨ Brandy Washington, Houston Independent School District Thank you for sharing your wisdom, experience, and overall brilliance with the world! I always, always learn something new when talking with educators, school, district, and higher ed leaders. Your deep knowledge and passion for supporting students on their learning journeys is incredible. We discussed practical, real-world strategies for: ✔️ Preparing students with career experiences to build skills for their futures - workforce, military, or college ✔️ Centering skills development on the World Economic Forum's 2030 Skills Outlook with AI & Big Data being the #1 skill, followed by technological literacy, creative thinking, resiliency, and curiosity. ✔️ Encouraging iteration in learning. Do the work, look at the feedback, refine, and do it again. ✔️ Grounding educators' work in support of students. “If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.” - Ignacio Estrada ✔️ Helping to create the love of learning. Technology helps close the skills gap faster. ✔️ Building and nurturing resiliency in students. When school leaders are clear about boundaries, expectations, and hold students accountable, students will adapt. ✔️ Clarity is kindness. We also shared some new and coming soon product features and benefits of Kahoot!
