Today, NVCRP Lead Mark Kameen MSc, joined law enforcement and insurance industry partners in London for a follow-up meeting focused on exploring opportunities to tackle serious organised crime (SOC) through improved data sharing. Hosted at Accenture’s London office, the session built upon progress from previous discussions, examining how closer collaboration and effective information sharing between police and insurance partners can enhance efforts to combat SOC, particularly around vehicle-related crime. The NVCRP was highlighted as an example of good practice in public/private sector collaboration, alongside NaVCIS, and was invited to deliver a short presentation on the partnership’s work and ongoing initiatives. These joint efforts continue to demonstrate the value of collective action, data-driven insights, and shared purpose in protecting communities and reducing vehicle crime nationwide. #VehicleCrime #VehicleTheft #SeriousOrganisedCrime #Collaboration #PublicPrivatePartnership #CrimePrevention Safer Business Network National Police Chiefs' Council Opal SOAC Andrew Farrell Shane Roberts Wendy B. From Mayer Brown: FY 2025 showed that the DOJ is committed to enforcing the FCA to deter fraud in traditional contexts, including by investigating and litigating claims against companies in the healthcare, life sciences, and government contracting industries. But the results also reveal the Trump Administration’s willingness to attempt to expand FCA enforcement to new areas, including trade, civil rights, and immigration. Given these evolving priorities, companies that interface with or are regulated by the federal government—which is to say virtually all companies—should re-examine their #compliance program, consider conducting targeted auditing, and otherwise prepare for a new enforcement environment. #falseclaimsact #doj #trumpadministration #fraud https://lnkd.in/gzQDHsvE

Navigating the legal system can be fraught with challenges, especially when encountering potential fraud and lack of investigation. One individual faced numerous hurdles in family court, involving fraudulent documents, perjury, and questionable insurance claims. Despite presenting evidence of these issues, the individual's requests were denied, leaving them feeling unsupported by the system. This situation highlights the importance of transparency and accountability within the legal process. It also raises questions about the checks and balances in place to protect individuals from potential injustices. Would love your perspective on this. #legalchallenges #fraud #accountability #injustice #transparency

The insurance industry faces rising claims severity, but new insights suggest the critical battlefield is internal: negotiation. A recent survey highlights a concerning trend where defense counsel, rather than claims professionals, increasingly convey settlement offers, signaling a potential erosion of critical negotiation skills within carrier claims departments. To counter this, especially in an era of AI-enabled plaintiff advocacy, Carrier Management is launching a new series, 'Negotiation Reclaimed,' aimed at equipping claims professionals with the tools to reassert ownership and elevate negotiation results. https://lnkd.in/ecQ4faka #InsuranceClaims #NegotiationSkills #AICapabilities
